G20 Summit Raipur: Foreign delegates welcomed in traditional Chhattisgarhi style

The fourth and final meeting of the G20 Framework Working Group is set to take place in the city of Raipur, India. Foreign delegates arrived in Raipur to participate in the meeting. The Raipur Airport welcomed all the guests in the traditional Chhattisgarhi style. Local Chhattisgarhi women wearing colorful sarees applied tilak (a ceremonial mark) on the foreheads of the delegates and presented them with Chhattisgarhi gamchhas (traditional cotton towels). Outside the airport, artists performed folk dances and songs to entertain the guests.

This meeting in Raipur will be chaired by Chandni Raina from the Indian Ministry of Finance and Sam Beckett, the Chief Economic Advisor of the United Kingdom. More than 65 representatives from G20 member countries, invited nations, and various international and regional organizations are expected to participate in this meeting. The discussions will cover topics such as digital banking and financial inclusion, financial literacy programs, G20 awareness programs, painting competitions, and slogan-writing competitions.
