Earth Day 2023: Reviving the Dry Hills of Chachakota: A Green Investment for the Future

The dry hills of Chachakota, once barren and lifeless, are now on their way to becoming lush and green. Thanks to the Forest Department’s efforts to revive the area, 25,000 pits have been dug to plant over 12 different species of saplings. The goal is to create a beautiful landscape that will attract more tourists to the region.

A Green Investment for the Future

As the world celebrates Earth Day, the Forest Department of Chachakota is taking bold steps to protect and preserve our planet for future generations. By investing in the planting of 25,000 saplings, they are not only creating a greener tomorrow but also providing a habitat for a variety of plants and animals.

A Wall to Keep Cattle Out

The forest department has taken every precaution to ensure the success of this project. They have built a wall along the entire area to prevent cattle from damaging the saplings. Additionally, 10,000 trenches have been dug to stop rainwater from washing away the newly planted saplings.

From Dry to Lush

Chachakota is already a popular tourist spot, known for its stunning views of the Mahi River and surrounding islands. With the addition of lush greenery, it is sure to become an even more attractive destination. The forest department plans to develop a new tourist point in the area, complete with a resthouse at a cost of 30 lakhs.

In conclusion, the Forest Department’s efforts to revive the dry hills of Chachakota are a testament to the power of investing in our planet. By working together to create a greener tomorrow, we can ensure that future generations inherit a world that is beautiful and sustainable.
