our young minds as a young student of India, Aryan Jain secured the 1st
position in NASA’s Artemis Next-Gen STEM – Moon to Mars App Development
Challenge.
Aryan Jain hails from Gurugram and was a member of the
winning team of NASA’s app development challenge. Currently, he studies at Sun
City School, Gurugram (Haryana). He had teamed up with 6 other high-school
students from the US.
The Competition hosted by NASA (National Aeronautics and
Space Administration) seeks to engage young minds by giving them technical
problems to resolve in the field of deep space exploration missions.
The 6 member team developed an app using the cross-platform app
by utilizing the cross-platform game engine Unity and programmed it in C#.
NASA’s Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) team
organized this year’s challenge where various students from across the globe
were asked to develop an application in order to visualize the Lunar South Pole
to aid in mission planning and exploration activities.
The students took part in the efforts of the Artemis
Generation to land astronauts on the Moon by 2024, including the first woman
and the next man, by participating in the challenge. This goes on to prove that
the intellect of Indian students deserves nothing less than world-class.
